2012 was great!
Like any year there were UP's and down's but I just wanna share with you guys my fondest memories of 2k12 ;)
P.s this may be a little more detailed than usual..
5. Turning 18
Who isn't excited to turn 18! I was planning a party for the weekend after and had my outfit and everything sorted! However, for my actual birthday I spent it with my family who took me to a circus because I'd never been before. Plus it was something different! It was hilarious!
4. Passing my Driving Test
I was soooooo happy when I passed my driving test because the guy that was marking me wasn't giving any hints away. Plus my legs were shaking like crazzy! I rang my parents happy as anything and took my certificate home to show them...A+ student because I passed 1st time ;) I passed in May, a couple weeks after my birthday.. an extra present :) Although now my mum says I drive like a man.. Too Fast Too Furious ;)
3. 70's night
One of the best nights ever of 2012 was with my family and friends at a 70's night. Flared jeans, Karaoke and Afro's. I think some of the greatest times you have will be with your family, mine are just too funny so I'm always in stitches.
Me and my younger sister
2. Going to New York & Jamaica
First Stop NEW YORK CITTTAY!
I was so apprehensive to go on this trip, simply because of the time of year my Mum had decided to go. The Olympics was just about to start & my A-Level Results were just about to come through to let me know whether or not I had made it to University. But last minute I decided to go because I thought I'm never in my life gonna get this opportunity again to go on a 7 WEEK TRIP! We spent 2 weeks in NY and 5 in Jamaica.
We had the most amazing time and did all the typical tourist site seeing! McDonald's was a staple part of our diet out there...like I mean we had it every single day! Bad I know, but it's like they put something in it that just HOOKS you!
We even found a beach (Jones Beach) in NY and made sure everyone knew we were English! I don't know but for some reason where we were staying, as soon as people heard our accent they gave us free stuff!
Hey Jamaica
Fortunately I've been to Jamaica plenty of times before because that's where my parents are from, but I have to say each experience is different.
We found a night beach (where everyone hangs out at night) and watched the sun go down
We jumped of cliffs at Ricks Café and jumped 33ft into caves...they had water in them haha!
And we braced the cold water and climbed Dunns River Waterfall!
1. Getting into Uni
This is definitely a big one for me because I wasn't in the country to get my results instead I was in a small village with no internet! I was stressed out to the max and snapping at everyone and anyone. But my auntie had paid someone in the end to use their internet for a while. My hands were shaking as I typed in the password to UCAS but instead of doing the 'phew glad thats over with' when I saw the word Congratulations I started crying. I got into my first choice. Was definitely proud of myself. Hard work pays off :)
Thankful to say I have entered another year with love from my friends and family, health and strength and pray for those who didn't.
What are your top 5 memories of 2012?
Happy New Year x
