Get Ready with Me: How I Do My Brows

So as it's Sunday I thought I'd do a relaxed blog post for you all. For some reason I always get complimented on my eyebrows, not really sure because I think they're quite basic lol! But for those of you who want to know how to do them or if your just looking for a few tips then scroll on down!

I always do this routine when I haven't plucked my eyebrows in aaaaaaggges! & in this case ages is about a couple months...I know...the shame! Here are the tools I use to attack my bushes:
Rimmel Eyebrow Pencil in 004 (Black Brown)
Slanted Edged Brush (TopShop)
Blending Brush (TopShop)
Mac Concealer in NC50

First off I start by brushing out my brows to make sure they're in the right position & to tame out the bushiness! Also make sure your pencil is sharp! Then outline the shape you want your brows to take. (Apologies for these pictures being cropped...my morning face isn't too attractive!)
Then fill in, or as some of my guy friends like to say, "colour in" the existing brow that you've just created. I don't like to fill mine in from the very beginning as I think it gives a more natural look when my whole face is put together. Then get your pencil brush and just brush out any harsh lines to make them look soft and natural.
After you've softened up your brows, I like to do this next step to clean them up which is always useful if you haven't plucked, waxed or threaded in a while like me! Just like when you outlined your brows using your pencil your going to do exactly that but just with your slanted brush and concealer.
Then just blend your concealer outward so it can be blended in with your skin & foundation.

Then just complete the rest of your makeup! Simple as that really!
I AM IN NO WAY A PROFESSIONAL!
Just sharing my little tip with you guys! Although with all the close ups in this post I think I need to get my eyebrows done ASAP LOL! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday beauties! xxx

Student Life: Eyebrows

So I thought it was about time to tame the eyebrows. Like, I pluck and shape them but they just still seem really wild. BUT I soon realised where I was going wrong! I always just used black eye-shadow to fill them in but I saw the error of my ways and invested in a student budget acceptable eyebrow pencil.

And with a student discount it was around £2.70 ... not much but EVERY PENNY COUNTS

Then just to highlight my new brow ;) I used an angled brow brush on the outlines of my brow with concealer which also gives it a 'fresh plucked' look.

And I know the product below isn't really classed as a student budget item, however I had it before I came to uni :)

So yeah...here's the end comparison (Not as good quality as the above photos but you guys know I'm working on it :) )

DEEP, DARK & DANGEROUS

It's that time of year again.
Yep, the leaves are turning and starting to fall and it's getting so cold I may need to invest in a new winter coat...OR just start bringing my duvet out with me to stay warm! To be honest I should be used to this weather as England isn't really one for sunshine and tans...unless their fake ;)

But nevertheless, in preparation for the chilly season I decided to buy some seasonal lipstick! I went to MAC and just couldn't find the right colour that I really liked so I thought why not dip into the American market and went for brands called Wet n Wild and NYX. I bought a lip liner and a lipstick.
Here's the colours I chose...

NYX Auto Lip Pencil - Deep Purple

The lip liner is essential as it makes sure the colour doesn't bleed.
And I also bought a Gothic lipstick to go over the lip-liner :)

Wet n Wild - Vamp it up

I ordered my products off of an American website called www.beautyjoint.com and including delivery it cost $10.02 which is £6.22 converted HOWEVER...
There is a UK based website that offers the same products that I found out about after (www.scentsationalperfumes.com).

Can't wait for these to arrive! I'll let you know how they turn out when they do :)
